Due to government restrictions around the globe, the second quarter of 2020 saw a historic decline of -27% in global shipping traffic over the previous year*. By early August, it had bounced back to just -3%.
On November 23rd the World Meteorological Organization stated that the COVID 19 economic slowdown has had no measurable impact on carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere**.
